No need to transfer funds between wallets, you can just import them.

Importing your existing wallet into Frontier allows for easy management of your blockchain assets all in one place, eliminating the need to switch between different wallets. Keep in mind that Frontier works with a wide range of wallets, but make sure they are compatible before you import them to avoid any extra steps. Frontier supports over 35+ popular mainnets.

Using Frontier App

To import your existing multi-chain wallet into Frontier, follow the following steps:

  1. Open the Frontier app

  2. If you’ve already setup a wallet on Frontier, click on the wallet icon at the top right corner and click on the + symbol in the pop-up.

  3. If you’re setting up Frontier after a fresh installation, read carefully and agree to the terms and conditions.

  4. Select the "Import Wallet" option from the main menu

  5. Choose your wallet type from the import wizard

  6. Import your wallet via recovery phrase or private key

  7. Customize your wallet.

Use the wallet you just imported to start managing and interacting with your blockchain assets. This includes sending and receiving assets, viewing your balances, and interacting with dApps.

Using Frontier Extension

To import your existing multi-chain wallet to the Frontier Chrome extension, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Install the Frontier chrome extension

  2. Open the Frontier browser extension. If you’ve already setup a wallet on the extension, hover your mouse pointer over the wallet card and click on "+".

  3. Click on Add Wallet.

  4. From the main menu, select the "Import Wallet" option to access the import wizard.

  5. Import your existing wallet: Follow the on-screen instructions to import your existing wallet into Frontier, including entering your recovery phrase or private key.

  6. You can choose to import a wallet created in Frontier, Metamask, Phantom, Keplr, or any other wallet client.

  7. You can choose the number of associated accounts you wish to access via the security details you’ve entered.

  8. Customize your wallet(s).

  9. If the wallet you imported was a single-chain wallet, an additional prompt will be displayed to convert it into a multi-chain wallet. This will be an optional step. We highly recommend converting your existing single-chain wallets into one powerful multi-chain wallet for the best DeFi experience.

Congratulations, you have successfully imported your wallet to Frontier! Start interacting with dApps supported on over 35+ blockchains.
