Sending Tokens through Your Frontier Wallet

With Frontier Wallet, it's easy to send tokens to other people and other wallets. In this section, we'll go through the steps required to send tokens from your Frontier Wallet.

Mobile app

  1. On the Home page, Click on Send ⬆️.

  2. Choose the asset you wish to transfer.

  3. Input the amount of tokens to send.

  4. Input the recipient's address - The recipient's address is a unique string of letters and numbers that identifies their wallet. You can get this from the recipient, or if they have a public address displayed on a website or social media, you can copy and paste it into the recipient address field.

  5. Confirm and Send - Finally, you need to confirm the details of the transaction, such as the recipient's address, the amount of tokens you're sending, and any fees that may be associated with the transaction. Once you're satisfied with the details, click the Send button to complete the transaction.

Extension

  1. Open the Frontier Wallet browser extension and select the chain you want to send from.

  2. The send option will be available when you have tokens in your wallet.

  3. Click on “Send” at the bottom from the quick actions menu bar.

  4. Choose the asset you wish to transfer.

  5. Input the amount of tokens to send.

  6. Input the recipient's wallet address.

  7. Write a memo message to send (optional) - Memos serve as notes or reminders about why a particular transaction was made, which can be helpful for future reference or in case of any disputes. For instance, you can use a memo such as “Sent 0.01ETH to John as I owed him this amount.” Without proper memos, it can be difficult to keep track of transactions, leading to confusion and potential losses. Therefore, it is advisable to take the extra step of including memos when conducting any transactions, particularly when sending tokens to a CEX.

  8. Confirm and Send - Finally, you need to confirm the details of the transaction, such as the recipient's address, the amount of tokens you're sending, and any fees that may be associated with the transaction. Once you're satisfied with the details, click the Send button to complete the transaction.
